ALIX'S CRIB

The Room

Well after an entire pregnancy and two and a half months after giving birth - I finally (almost) finished getting Alix's room together. It took me forever to pull it all together because I had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted to match the bedding and when I was pregnant decorating was the last thing I felt like doing! I really love the way it all turned out though. The crib bumpers and hanging diaper bag was made by a co-worker, Kathy Keneipp. The Curtains and dust ruffle was made by my good friend, Karen Snow as my baby shower gift. Alix's great-grandmother, Lila Jean, made his Cowpoke Quilt. I made the artwork on the wall above the crib and changing table. So you see this room is extra, extra special because everything was custom made for Alix with lots of love from lots of very special people.

The curtains made by my friend Karen.
Alix's Cowpoke Quilt which he will always keep and cherish forever. Below the quilt is a "Diaper Cake" which we received as a shower gift from
Sal's Coworkers. It is so cute!!!

Sal and I are huge Willie Nelson and Waylon Jenning's fan so of course we had put this saying in A.J's room. No Cowboy would be complete without it!

Well, since he is a native Texan it's only proper that he had the right signage!
The artwork is Alix's footprints from the hospital along with his name and DOB listed. His Great-Grandma made the cute lamp and bear.
Yup, the artwork above the bed was made for him by his Mommy!

Alix's 1st Easter

We spent Good Friday and Saturday hanging out with Grandpa, Aunt Karin and the boys

Sal, Alix and I at Sal Sr's House

We got to celebrate our first official holiday with our sweet boy this past weekend. We took him to the mall to get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny. He looked so cute in his Spring finery ;-) I was able to get the Easter photos mailed out to all the family on Monday so everyone should be getting those soon. Sal and I are really looking forward to celebrating all the other holidays with Alix as well.

Alix really enjoyed snuggling with his Aunt Karin

The Family

Alix finally got to meet some more of his family over the Easter Holiday. His Aunt Karin came down and spoiled him rotten with lots of lovin' and cute outfits! His cousins, Bradley and Cruz told him what an awesome cousin he was and how much they loved him! I'd say he was an instant hit with his aunt and cousins.

Awwww...Alix loves to nap with his daddy

This video was taking when Alix first started smiling and cooing. Can't believe I was actually able to catch it on video because it happens in an instant and then is gone. Every time I see him smile I just turn into one big, gooey marshmallow!!

Me and baby bear just chillin' together on a cold, wintery day
Shhhh....Alix fell asleep again in his Froggy Bouncer
What a handsome fella!
Little Bear gets his first bath in his bathtub!
Alix loves getting baths. He is like his daddy and always checks himself out in the mirror.

Our little Family - Alix at 5 Weeks old.
This little outfit he is wearing is probably one of my most favorite outfits. It's green with little dinosaurs all over it. He just looks so darn cute and snuggly whenever he wears it!
